ARENA Network is an independent organisation providing practical support to business and other organisations on environmental management issues.

The Carbon Trust
The Carbon Trust helps business and the public sector cut carbon emissions, and supports the development of low carbon technologies.

The Energy Saving Trust
The Energy Saving Trust's goal is to achieve the sustainable and efficient use of energy, and to cut carbon dioxide emissions, one of the key contributors to climate change.  The Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation funded by the government and the private sector.

Envirowise
Envirowise offers UK businesses free, independent, confidential advice and support on practical ways to increase profits, minimise waste and reduce environmental impact.

Community Composting Network (CCN)
The CCN supports and promotes the community management and use of waste biodegradable resources.

Community Re>Paint

Community Re>Paint is a network of paint reuse schemes across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Community Recycling Network UK (CRN UK)
The CRN UK is a membership organisation promoting community-based sustainable waste management as a practical and effective way of tackling the UK’s growing waste problem.

Community Recycling Network for Scotland (CRNS)
The CRNS is a membership organisation set up to provide support and information for community led groups involved in recycling, reuse, composting, reduction and waste education activities.

Furniture Re-use Network (FRN)
The FRN aims to promote social, economic and environmental benefit through the re-use of unwanted household items.

Powys Zero Waste (POW)
Powys Zero Waste is the link in the chain that brings together community recycling bodies throughout Powys, Mid-Wales including furniture and white goods recycling, kerbside services, food waste composting, tool recycling and a wide range of services, ploughing funds and resources back into the local community.

The National Community Wood Recycling Project (NCWRP)
The NCWRP was founded to encourage and assist the setting up and continued development of community-focused wood recycling projects.

Black Environment Network (BEN)
BEN is established to promote equality of opportunity with respect to ethnic communities in the preservation protection and development of the environment.

British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV)
BTCV is the UK’s leading charity creating better environments where people feel valued, included and involved.

Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT)
CAT is an environmental charity aiming to ‘inspire, inform and enable’ people to live more sustainably.

Environment Wales
Environment Wales is a partnership of organisations in the voluntary sector, funded by the National Assembly for Wales. The organisation aims to contribute to sustainable development by supporting and encouraging voluntary action to protect and improve the Welsh environment.

Friends of the Earth Cymru
Friends of the Earth Cymru is dedicated to protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable future for Wales. Part of the UK’s most influential environmental campaigning organisation, Waste is one of Friends of the Earth Cymru’s main campaign areas.

Greenpeace
Greenpeace is an independent non-profit global campaigning organisation that uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems and their causes. Greenpeace UK currently run a campaign against incineration of waste.

Groundwork Wales
Groundwork Wales is part of the Groundwork Network, working with local communities in areas of need. There are four Groundwork Trusts in Wales which aim to achieve sustainable communities through joint environmental action.

The Sustainable Organic Resources Partnership
The Sustainable Organic Resources Partnership (SORP) established in 2003, as an independent not-for-profit organisation comprising a partnership of organisations committed to promoting the sustainable use of organic resources on land.

Sustainable Wales
Sustainable Wales is an all-Wales human-scale consultancy based in Porthcawl dealing with environmental, social, cultural and local democracy issues.

Wales Environment Link
Wales Environment Link is a network of voluntary environmental and countryside organisations with an all-Wales remit. It is the intermediary between the government and the voluntary environmental sector in Wales.

Women's Environmental Network (WEN)
WEN is a campaigning organisation, which represents women and campaigns on issues, which link women, environment and health. WEN currently runs a Waste Prevention campaign.

Funding and grants

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT)
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is an independent grant making body registered with the Charity Commissioners and dedicated exclusively to the regeneration of our coalfield communities.

The Landfill Tax Credit Scheme (LTCS)
The LTCS was designed to help mitigate the effects of landfill upon local communities. It encourages partnerships between landfill operators, their local communities and the voluntary and public sectors.

Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA)
The WCVA represents and campaigns for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities in Wales. The WCVA also administer a number of grant schemes including the Cleanstream and SRS funds.

Rounded Developments Enterprises Ltd

The centre has a range of building products like: natural paints; recycled plastic slates; steel guttering; energy monitoring and saving devices; water saving products; lime plasters, mortars and renders; and sustainable building books. Freecycle
The Freecycle Network was started in May 2003 to promote waste reduction in Tucson's downtown and help save desert landscape from being taken over by landfills.
