The 'Triple bottom line' framework of Social Accounting can be adapted to create a comprehensive account of any organisation's social, environmental and economic impact.
Cylch firmly believe that this is a valuable tool for any organisation, and would like to support organisations across Wales in implementing these procedures.
Cylch, in conjunction with DTA Wales and The UK Social Audit Network (SAN), have held two one-day Social Accounting tasters on 22nd February and 3rd March, with the aim of providing a detailed overview of Social Accounting. Presentation topics included:
- The three-step process of Social Accounting
- Case studies by organisations who had produced Social Accounts
- First steps in producing your organisation's own Social Accounts
Guest speakers at the South Wales event were:
Mo Green – The MOre Green recycling project
Gareth Evans – The Swansea Environment Centre
Peter Williams –Development Trust Association Wales
Guest speakers at the North Wales event were:
Calvin Davies – Antur Waunfawr
