Swansea Community Farm would like to say a big thank you to the Buck Inn in Pontlliw after a Quiz and Curry evening raised over £350 for the Farm.
Staff, volunteers and friends and family attended the event on Tuesday 17 April to help raise much needed funds for the Farm.
Ian Hart, landlord of the Buck Inn said: "The evening was a great success. We had lots of fun and everyone seemed to have a really good time as well as raising money for a very worthwhile cause."
"One of our regular customers, Richard Hedges, is very fond of Swansea Community Farm and he asked me if we could raise funds for them. He did an amazing job of organising the quiz and thanks to him and the people from the Farm a fantastic night was had by all. I am really looking forward to working with the Farm in the future and we have already organised a Duck Race for Boxing Day!" He added.
"We would just like to say a huge thank you to the Buck Inn for helping us raise money for the Farm." said Child and Youth Officer, Alyson Williams. "As a charity it is very difficult in the current economic climate to raise vital funding for the Farm, but we always welcome help from local businesses, especially if we have fun at the same time!" she added.
