Cylch, the Wales Community Recycling Network, is pleased to announce details of the second Wales Recycling Awards which will reward excellence in recycling in Wales.

The awards will be presented during Cylch’s 11th annual conference dinner by the Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Sustainability and Housing, Jane Davidson AM.

A short-list of three finalists for each category will be drawn up by an expert panel of key stakeholders in the Welsh recycling scene. The big decision to decide the winner is then handed over to you with a popular on-line (and postal) vote.

Entries who reach the short-list will have a chance to showcase their organisation to a Wales wide audience and will also receive two complimentary places to the annual conference dinner and awards presentation.

Awards categories:

Community Recycler of the Year Award, kindly sponsored by Novelis

£2000 cash prize

This award is open to all Cylch Full Members and will reward the organisation that has best demonstrated some aspects of the following: sustainability, social benefits, community involvement, contribution to sector, diversion of materials from landfill or delivering a strong recycling message through excellent marketing and promotion.

Innovation Award
£2000 cash prize or equivalent, Kindly sponsored by Baylis Recycling

This award is open to any organisation or company active in Wales and will reward those that have developed an innovative project, product, activity or service in the last 12 months.

Local Authority Partnership Award, kindly sponsored by Yell

This award is open to all Local Authorities in Wales. Local Authorities will be rewarded in recognition of their work in partnership with their local community.
