Cylch Conference 2010: now open for bookings!

Cylch Conference 2010, featuring the Wales Recycling Awards
21-22nd October 2010, The Marriott Hotel, Cardiff

On the Path to Zero Waste: the story of our stuff

Consumerist society is facing a global resource crisis. It is clear that to secure a happy and prosperous future, we must create sustainable communities that are truly resource efficient.

Moving towards Zero Waste is essential in securing a sustainable future, and Wales is responding to the resource crisis by working towards this goal. The community sector plays an essential role, contributing innovative and effective solutions in re-use and recycling as well as providing the opportunities for inclusion that will help to keep our communities strong.

Taking Annie Leonard’s revolutionary film ‘The Story of Stuff’ as a starting point, the 2010 Cylch Conference will confront the resource issue head on and look at solutions for a sustainable future – in Wales and beyond.

Keynote speakers;

  • Jane Davidson AM, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing
  • Dr. Laila Iskander Kamel - Chair, CID Consulting
  • Robin Murray - author of 'Zero Waste'
