Unique two stage workshop presented by WRAP Cymru and C-Tech Innovation, partners in the REMake project for small to medium sized manufacturing businesses.
1 February 2012
Technium Optic, St Asaph
This workshop is designed to highlight the benefits of sustainability and innovation in supporting profitable and lasting business success. Aimed at practically demonstrating the tools and funding available to support businesses in Wales, this workshop will focus on the role of resource efficiency, eco-design and Life Cycle Thinking as a means to making your business more profitable.
Split into two sessions, the morning session will look at the wider issues of sustainability and what they mean at a practical level for businesses, before looking at the available funding and support through the REMake programme, WRAP and C-Tech Innovation, using examples to highlight the role of resource efficiency in enduring commercial success.
The afternoon session offers a ‘hands-on’ workshop aimed at introducing simple tools that will help you understand how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and sustainable design can assist in both assessing the environmental credentials of your products and making your business more profitable. Using an example case study, the workshop will assist businesses in applying proven life cycle methods and free to use carbon footprinting tools, equipping delegates with lasting skills to apply inside their own organisations.
