Mission:
To promote sustainable resource management through education and practical action.

  • to develop the national network of community recycling organisations
  • to provide quality support services for Members
  • to position the community recycling sector as an essential partner in the future of resource management in Wales
  • to lead by example

Cylch structure
The Cylch Board comprises a maximum of 16 Trustees, recruited from the Membership and including the CEO, Mal Williams.  The Board meets on a regular basis to decide on the policies and direction of the organisation.
Trustees serve for three years at a time. One third of the Trustees stand down each year (although re-election is possible). Nominations for election to the Board are made once a year before the AGM. All Cylch Full Members are informed of the opportunity to stand for nomination and how to apply. All Trustees are required to sign a declaration of interest. Click here for the

Working practices
Cylch tries to lead by example by practicing what we preach. We hold and aim to maintain a variety of management standards and aspire to be a good employer, regularly assess our internal management and governance systems, consult with stakeholders to prove and improve our services and strive for financial independence.

Cylch is keen to ensure a healthy, environmentally responsible working environment for all staff, and has been recognised by Investors in People and by the Green Dragon environmental management standard.
