The Wales Recycling Awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in Welsh recycling.
The awards were presented at the glittering Cylch Conference Gala Dinner on October 22nd.
And the winners are...
Community Recycler of the Year: Kit Out The Kids Kit Out The Kids is a social enterprise based in Rhyl which aims to recycle and reuse children's clothing from items donated by the local community.
Innovation Award: Phoenix Community Furniture Scheme Phoenix have developed a loft clearance service for elderly residents of the local area who are unable to get their lofts cleared in order for full insulation to be installed.
Local Authority Partnership Award: Pembrokeshire County Council Pembrokeshire County Council has shown forward thinking in its innovative partnership with local re-use organisation FRAME by including a social clause in its bulky household contract.
Outstanding Contribution Award: Mo Green Mo Green’s commitment to recycling is demonstrated by the fact that she works 7 days a week in a voluntary, unpaid capacity as CEO of the MOre Green Recycle Re-use project.
