The nature of work in the voluntary sector means that we are often taking on the role of project management and running lots of projects at once; we also have to manage the expectations of project funders and deliver results.
This course will take you through the whole range of project management principles and practical tools, and focus on the practical techniques and tools to enhance your skills for setting up, running and managing a project.
Participants will need to have a current or potential project idea to bring to the course on which their assessed work will be based.

• identify the key factors in project success and how to prepare and submit a bid for project funding
• know how to calculate and manage project costs
• understand monitoring and evaluation and identify and address areas of potential risk
