Categories & Fees
There are four categories of Cylch Membership; which category you are assigned to is discussed and agreed between the organisation and Cylch. Membership is decided by a sub-committee of the Cylch board.
Full Membership (Practicing)
Applicants for Full Membership must be community based organisations actively involved in waste reduction, re-use, recycling or composting projects operating primarily in Wales. Organisations should fit within the following criteria;
Criteria
- Non profit distributing company or organisation
- Operates, and based primarily in Wales
- Actively providing services in Reuse/Recycling/Waste Minimisation in Wales
- Ability to provide meaningful data for Let’s Prove It (not tonnages exclusively)
- To be a locally accountable organisation, for benefit of the local community
Full Membership (Developing)
This category is for those organisations that have aspirations to become a full member (Practicing), and their Ongoing objectives are aiming towards providing services in Reuse/Recycling/Waste minimisation.
Criteria
- Non profit distributing company or organisation
- Operates, and based primarily in Wales
- Ongoing objectives are aiming towards providing services in Reuse/Recycling/Waste Minimisation
- To be a locally accountable organisation, for benefit of the local community
Associate Membership
This category is designed for national networks, renewable energy organisations and Local Authorities.
Criteria
- Non profit distributing company or organisation
- Social and or environmental remit
Affiliate Membership
An Affiliate Member can be any company or organisation that wishes to actively support the activities of Cylch and its Membership, but does not fit into the criteria of the other Membership categories i.e. Private/Corporate organisations
Membership Fees
Membership fees are calculated using a sliding scale, determined by an organisations turnover for the previous financial year.
